"Why Don't You Do Right?" 这首曲子最早是1936年由McCoy所写，由于当时的时代背景（刚刚经历1929年大萧条的美国），这首歌的歌词在当时的美国大众中普遍能够引起共鸣，因此极受欢迎。
这首歌有多个版本，其中最有影响力的版本当属1942年由Peggy Lee在纽约所录制的那个版本，也就是贝社买下版权并嵌入到辐射新维加斯游戏中的那个版本。
后来在1988年由迪斯尼所拍的真人与动画相结合的电影“谁陷害了兔子罗杰”中，为了向这首美国经典爵士歌曲致敬，也有一个版本，由Amy Irving所唱，也是经典之极。
